Who We Are At Mad Cat Brewery
With over 130 hop varieties available in the UK, and maltsters falling over themselves to be innovative in their treatment of barley and other grains, micro-breweries are seeing a resurgence. This is about us - Mad Cat Brewery.
All this makes brewing truly an art form, and with the muse upon us, we thought we would get creative and start producing quality craft ales for ourselves. So in 2012 - father and son team Peter and Michael Meaney - set up a micro-brewery at Brogdale Farm in Faversham in Kent. Our brewery is perfectly placed for supplying pubs all over north and east Kent, ensuring people far and wide can enjoy our beers.
We’re hoping our beers will be enjoyed by people who have already discovered the delights of handcrafted beer, and we want to cheer-on those new ale drinkers who want to join in with the ale revolution, looking for something fresh and modern to drink.
Since 2012 we have innovated and made a broad spectrum of beers, some we keep for a long time because many of our customers keep calling them back and others we have to drop to make space to create new sensations to delight the tastebuds. We produce ales in Cask and KeyKegs for pubs, Minikegs and Bottles for the home consumer and trade outlets. We have capability of brewing in bulk for White Label customers wishing to brand their own bottles, and have even made a custom beer with personalised labels for a wedding.
The Covid 19 Pandemic has brought significant change to our business. We have innovated with products for the domestic consumer, accessible through our webshop developed in 2020. This is now reaching out to places we have not been able to reach before currently enabling us to deliver to homes accross the country.
Mike moved on to follow his other dreams and we have a new team of people bringing their energy to Mad Cat Brewery. Head brewer Cameron Smith ably assisted by Max Raven continue to innovate and develop tasty products for our customers to enjoy.
If what you’re looking for is “rock-bottom-cheap” and cold enough to freeze your tonsils, this may be the wrong place for you. But if you want a journey of flavoursome malts, hops and a genuinely delicious experience, then welcome to Mad Cat Brewery and the craft beer revolution.
