Mad Cat interviewed for Radio Kent Show
On Wednesday 21st October, our Mad Cat brewers were interviewed by Radio Kent who ran a piece on their Julia George Show discussing Kent beers. It was a wonderful item put together by Sue Nelson – chair of Produced in Kent and a food writer who is passionate about promoting Kent produce.
She spoke to our brewer Cameron Smith about the process Mad Cat uses to brew its beers and then to Mad Cat boss, Peter Meaney, who chatted about how Mad Cat was formed and the kind of beers we brew. Peter was also able to officially announce the three beers we’re producing especially for Christmas this year: Santa Paws, The Followed Star and Christmas Jumper.
On air sampling
Sue then sampled two of our beers live on air, along with the presenter and producer of the radio show. The beers were Unsinkable Sam bitter and Golden IPA.
They loved them! The Show’s host – Julia George – was so taken with our Golden IPA she announced she was going to buy a load of bottles for friends and family for Christmas presents! We think Julia has very fine taste indeed.
Well done Radio Kent
We have to take our hats off to Radio Kent for supporting local businesses and producers and giving us to chance to talk about what we do. Thank you for inviting us to take part in the show.
If you’d like to listen to the programme – there’s a link to a recording below. We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed taking part.
